
Executive Director
The executive director (ED) is responsible for overseeing the organization's day-to-day operations, strategic direction, and financial management in accordance with its mission. They will oversee the planning, implementation, execution, and evaluation of all agency programs, services, and projects. They will have knowledge of and ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations as they relate to the agency and funding it receives. The executive director will ensure proper staffing of the organization and oversee all agency human resources and financial planning and management. The executive director will keep stakeholders informed of the work of the organization. They report directly to and are the liaison with the Board of Directors. In conjunction with the Board, will develop and implement the three-year strategic plan. The ED will identify, assess, and inform the Board of Directors on all issues affecting the agency. Key responsibilities include strategic leadership, financial management, resource and program development, board relations and community engagement. The executive director will adhere to all agency standards. Must be willing and able to work nights and weekends. CIL serves seven counties in Florida: Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Polk, Hardee, Highlands, and DeSoto. Travel in these counties is required for ongoing stakeholder engagement.
